I played it again on Xbox Series X this year, where the significant upgrade was able to brute force through any lingering technical issues. I picked it up on launch day for Xbox One and despite its somewhat rough release state, I deeply enjoyed my time with it. I hope they take the positive reception of this patch as a platform for Darksiders 4.I was ecstatic when it was revealed that the long awaited Darksiders III was actually happening. The latest patch was a step in the right direction IMO. I gotta say that I appreciate this game much more than I previously did when I first started it. Can't wait to try out these changes when I get to 3 again!ĭecided to play through this one more time with the Classic combat option. This game had potential to be good and I'm glad they are fixing it up! I just finished Darksiders, working my way thru Darksiders 2 now. Now it can be not only useful for healing but doing extra damage too. Havoc Form doing more damage is good too. Good news cause some of the checkpoint to boss areas sucked. Meanwhile, the update added a few new checkpoints (one of the criticisms of the game revolved around its brutal checkpoint system). I read on Eurogamer that they added more checkpoints. Hopefully that means you can heal on the go and not have to stand still. I'm glad they are listening to the players and fixing these issues.Ĭouple of improvements I'm glad they added is using items instantly. Though I won't know today, maybe this weekend.

This could improve my opinion of this game. Allowing players like myself who like the old ways to get an improvement and allowing players who like the new style to do their thing.ĭownloading it now.
